Mehaffie Announces Grants for Area Museums, Historical Societies

HARRISBURG – Rep. Tom Mehaffie (R-Dauphin) announced that four area museums and historical societies were awarded Cultural and Historical Support Grants from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. These grants provide general operating support to Pennsylvania museums and official county historical societies that are not directly supported by other state agency operating support programs.

The locations receiving funding are as follows: 
- AACA Museum Inc.: $30,000.
- Hershey/Derry Township Historical Society: $6,000.
- Historical Society of Dauphin County: $9,500.
- The M.S. Hershey Foundation: $40,000.

“All four of these entities work hard to provide information about and preserve the history that exists across the 106th District,” said Mehaffie. “This funding will ensure their continued work in our community and their dedicated volunteers can continue their good work.”
